have you ever listened to a song or album by one of your favorite bands that you haven’t listened to in a while and just think about how much you love them and how much they mean to you and get punched in the gut by a flood of emotions

Everyone’s pretty much haywire about Fall Out Boy’s hiatus
And I’m just like MY FAVORITE HIGHWAY PLEASE COME BACK

Mar 4

If you like Farewell Fighter and/or My Favorite Highway,
LET ME LOVE YOU.

If I ever find a guy that loves/appreciates My Favorite Highway as much as I do, remind me to not let him go.

MFH makes me happy.

I wish I had a physical copy of this album, yet at the same time, I wouldn’t be able to contain myself if I had it.
Don’t forget me wrong. It’s a beautiful piece of work, and How To Call A Bluff has helped me in ways I can’t even explain. It’s precisely for that reason, I wouldn’t want it. Some of the songs give me chills up and down my spine, such as ‘Bigger Than Love’, ‘What Are You Waiting For?’ and ‘Getaway Car.’ Those songs especially hit me where it hurts the most: the past and the future. They bring back memories and thoughts from certain parts of my life, and sometimes I can’t deal with those thoughts. But every song on this album has given me the courage and hope and self esteem I had been missing for a while. I never got the chance to thank them for that. My Favorite Highway is painstakingly relevant to life in general, and that’s what makes me freeze up inside and almost tear up with each and every listen. Their songs are beautiful, powerful, raw, emotional, and most of all… real.

Go on, get up, get out Don’t even think about it You don’t need to leave it behind But you can live without it Jump in your car like you’re ready to ride You got a buck forty-five left to keep you alive And now, everybody’s messing it up No, we don’t talk about how Everything is falling apart Well then you go around It’s everything that you couldn’t find with an open mind It’s all you’ve ever known

Go on, get up, get out
Don’t even think about it
You don’t need to leave it behind
But you can live without it
Jump in your car like you’re ready to ride
You got a buck forty-five left to keep you alive
And now, everybody’s messing it up
No, we don’t talk about how
Everything is falling apart
Well then you go around
It’s everything that you couldn’t find with an open mind
It’s all you’ve ever known

Quite frankly, I miss My Favorite Highway more than I’d ever miss any other band/artist.

Please come back. Your music helped me through a lot.
